Might there be certain qualifiers that must be met before His return??
Anyone who has ever had a computer background has no doubt been exposed to computer programming languages. IF, THEN, ELSE statements are the basics followed to create steps which exact the desired output or action. If one is also a student of the Bible, there is undeniable evidence of programming language in the Word. “IF My people…..THEN I will…..”
2 Chronicles 6:16
(ASV) Now therefore, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only thy children take heed to their way, to walk in my law as thou hast walked before me.
(Brenton) and now, Lord God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father the things which thou spokest to him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man before me sitting on the throne of Israel, if only thy sons will take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou didst walk before me.
(Darby) And now, Jehovah, God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only thy sons take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
(JPS) Now therefore, O LORD, the God of Israel, keep with Thy servant David my father that which Thou hast promised him, saying: There shall not fail thee a man in My sight to sit on the throne of Israel; if only thy children take heed to their way, to walk in My law as thou hast walked before Me.
(JUB) Now, therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy slave David, my father, that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel, under the condition that thy sons keep their way, walking in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
(KJV) Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
(MKJV) And now, O Jehovah, the God of Israel, keep with Your servant David my father that which You have promised him, saying, There shall not fail you a man in My sight to sit on the throne of Israel, if only your sons take heed to their way to walk in My Law, as you have walked before Me.
(The Scriptures 1998+) “And now, יהוה Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, guard what You promised Your servant Dawiḏ my father, saying, ‘There is not to cease a man of yours before Me, sitting on the throne of Yisra’ĕl – only, if your sons guard their way, to walk in My Torah as you have walked before Me.’
(Webster) Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; provided thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me.
(YLT) `And now, O Jehovah, God of Israel, keep for Thy servant David my father that which Thou didst speak to him, saying, There is not cut off to thee a man from before Me, sitting on the throne of Israel, only, if thy sons watch their way to walk in My law, as thou hast walked before Me.
So, from the various versions we can see that YHWH has set in place a condition upon which if it is met, we will have a King to sit upon the Throne of Israel. We see in the next verse, the promise given IF we meet the criteria in the former verse:
2 Chronicles 6:17
(JUB) Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word stand firm, which thou hast spoken unto thy slave David.
(KJV) Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David.
There are more, but for the sake of brevity, keeping it to a few examples. But this is just one example. If you look at other verses that contain an “IF” statement, the next one will almost certainly have a “THEN” statement which follows.
Exo 18:23 If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.
Exo 19:5 And now if you will obey My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then you shall be a peculiar treasure to Me above all the nations; for all the earth is Mine.
Exo 19:6 And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words which you shall speak to the sons of Israel.
Deu 4:29 But if you shall seek Jehovah your God from there, you shall find Him, if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.
Deu 4:30 When you are in trouble and when all these things have found you in the latter days, then you shall return to Jehovah your God and shall be obedient to His voice.
While these are just a few examples, there is a laid out message for us.
When it comes to things of God, there are no coincidences. Just this morning, receiving the following message from Glynda Lomax was timely and fits in with this topic. I have bolded and underlined the relevant parts:
|
|
Matthew 13:17
- 17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
Isaiah 26:3
- 3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Matthew 26:54
- 54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be?
Luke 21:28
- 28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
What might all of this mean? What all of scripture has to be fulfilled? If we pay attention to the verses cited early in this study, then a fulfilling of the Children, turning their hearts to YHWH and walking in His Instruction (Torah, Sabbath, Feast Days) must happen.

PLEASE NOTE! I have included an attachment in this study of this document because when it got posted, it has not retained all the formatting of bolding, underlining and such. This really takes away from the message. So please feel free to take a look at it in your own Microsoft Word version 7 and later.
