The Inerrant Word of God

According to the Scribes

Jesus had some things to say about the scribes and Pharisees of that time pointing quite directly at the hiding and suppressing of the truth. The scribes were mentioned because of their own guilt in either doing as the Pharisees said, or taking it upon themselves to make changes. The keys to the kingdom can be had by the truth of the word, unless the truth is held back by those who suppress it.

Mat 23:4  For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Mat 23:13  But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Scribes and Pharisees exist today by other names but what they do has remained the same.

Many leaders in both Christianity and Judaism claim the bible as the inerrant word of God. It is, to be sure it is. But it is what these scribes and Pharisees continue to do that is the crux of the burden placed on a vast majority of mankind who struggle daily to understand the Scriptures. Some have even given up trying which is a victorious battle for the enemy when this happens.

In Christian publishing and translation circles the profaning of the word is done with subtle changes to the English word used in place of original ancient text. This is the first abominable act. The second is to omit in places and add in places. The third is found in men who make decisions to (over time) change the meanings of words, with a gentle steer of verbal rudder and then get it established and published as meaning something entirely different and thereby not only causing a great loss of understanding, but using it as justification to make the changes necessary in scripture which then adds to the confusion for anyone who desires to know God through His word. The fourth is in using punctuation and changing upper case letters to lower case in proper titles.

In Judaic publishing and teaching circles we have the same agenda using some of the same tactics but also using workarounds in the original Hebrew language and covering their evil deeds by declaring it a way to make things easier for the lay people. We will address both and compare some similarities..

Both sides attempt to strike certain fears into their followers. For Judaism, they are not allowed to mix or communicate with “Gentiles”. Anyone who is not a Jew is a Gentile.

Christianity teaches that anyone not a Jew is a “Gentile” also and so anyone who is Christian then, is a Gentile. This couldn’t be further from the truth and scripture proves it.

If both sides agree that they serve the same LIVING God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, then which one is in error and which error came first? In Genesis chapter 10 a clear distinction is given: The sons of Japheth that are called Gentiles through the lineage of Japheth, there is no mention of Abraham, Isaac or Jacob who are descended from Shem, Japheth’s brother. In fact, with regard to the children of Israel, they are described 20 times as being “AMONG the Gentiles”, 27 times “AMONG the nations”. We know that the definition of the word “Gentile” means “nations”, they are one and the same. Israel is not lost, they have been scattered.

Both camps have made changes to the Word of God.

In Christian bibles, the use of commas can drastically alter the meaning and understanding. Paragraphs, chapters and periods do the same. This is all in addition to the above mentioned changes in words and definitions over time.

Dictionaries can be compared if one is able to find a dictionary from 50 years ago (even further back if you are blessed to find one) and compare to one newly published today.

In Jewish bibles, the Hebrew language has been altered also. The original Hebrew alephbet consists of all consonants. There are no vowels in the original Hebrew.

Vowels were introduced later under the guise of helping the common layperson to understand the meaning. Since each Hebrew letter has its own pictogram, which clarifies its meaning and the combination of letters in any given word then tells the story which tells what is meant, we can see that adding vowels must be for some other reason.

As vowels were added, each original word which really meant the same thing, one thing, became a bevy of words which had different meanings based upon which “vowel” was used. This creates a sort of linguistic fuzzy logic meant to steer the student away from truth.

You could argue that there is no way the scribes would do this as they would suffer the wrath of God for changing his word or even touching the letters. When we look at an actual Hebrew text which includes vowels however, we find that the vowel points (sets of dots and other markings combined or separate) do not ever, touch the actual letters. In fact they sort of hover just above or to the sides or below in certain places around each original Hebrew consonant. Using the same five vowels we use in our English language, this now offers up a way to apply various definitions to one original word, changing meanings in much the same way as the western world has done through what could be called “Language Evolution”.

Keeping the vowels from touching the consonants absolves them of any desecration of the Holy Letters of God’s language (in their minds).

The Phrase “saith the LORD” occurs a staggering 841 times in the Old Testament (out of total of 854 times total) in the KJV bible.

In a well loved and highly revered Hebrew to English translation in Judaic circles, any of the exact same verses have omitted the “saith” and replaced it with a long hyphen. I get the feeling whenever I come across these, that the long hyphen is code that something has been altered, but only those “in the know” will have any idea about it.

Jesus was the manifested Name of the LIVING GOD in the flesh. This is why the soldiers fell backward when He said His name:

Joh 18:4  Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?

Joh 18:5  They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I AM.  And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.

Joh 18:6  As soon then as he had said unto them, I AM, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

Joh 18:7  Then asked he them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

Joh 18:8  Jesus answered, I have told you that I AM: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:

Jesus said the Name THREE TIMES.

We all know that the all uppercases letters “LORD” are the English rendering of the Hebrew Tetragrammaton “YHWH”.

In Exodus 3:14 we are given “I AM”  THREE TIMES.

We know from Acts 4:18 and 5:40 that the name was not to be preached at all in the land. If we connect the dots that point to keep the name from being uttered, or to keep words omitted that would point to the Word (Messiah) in the Hebrew Bible being in line with the words of the English Bibles, not only would Christians then make connections knowing the truth of the God of Exodus 3:14 being the same God as in John chapter 18; but the Jews would also then be able to see their Messiah in all the books whereby the “SAITH” has been removed from the phrase: “Saith the word of the Lord HASHEM ELOHIM”.

The enemy seeks every way possible to keep us from knowing truth.  We must ask God to give us eyes to see these things and Jesus gave us warnings and clues to what we should be looking for.

All the changes men have made to the Word, trying to deceive us, pointing us away from His truth, these do not change the truth, they merely obscure it. It is up to each of us to uncover the tactics and see the Word with His eyes, not ours.
