(Romans 9:7) Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called.
(Hebrews 11:18) Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called:

Refer to study of the 144 Thousand, reference being the use of the translated word "thousand". Evidence in the Tanach of the word being translated improperly based on a more modern meaning. See below added study:
144k?
See these verses:
2Sa 6:1
(JPS) And David again gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
(KJV) Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
(KJV+) Again,H5750 DavidH1732 gathered togetherH622 (H853) allH3605 the chosenH977 men of Israel,H3478 thirtyH7970 thousand.H505
(KJVA) Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.
(LITV) And David again gathered every chosen one in Israel, thirty thousand.
(YLT) And David gathered again every chosen one in Israel, thirty thousand,
Let’s look closer at this:
thousand.H505
H505
אלף
'eleph
eh'-lef
Properly the same as H504; hence (an ox’s head being the first letter of the alphabet, and this eventually used as a numeral) a thousand: - thousand.
OK!!! See the above underlined??? It says “eventually” used as a numeral! That doesn’t mean then, that it was used in this manner for the verse from 2Sam6:1 and it certainly might not mean it was meant to be used that way in Revelation!!!!
Now also consider the ox’s head as being the first letter…we also know the ox’s head is symbolic of heads or leaders or set apart ones or chosen as is the case in 2Sam here.
Perhaps this was not thirty thousand men..as they were David’s chosen ones which we see in another verse is THIRTY men…not thirty thousand!!!
Now…..look at the other roots from this child definition.!
H504
אלף
'eleph
eh'-lef
From H502; a family; also (from the sense of yoking or taming) an ox or cow: - family, kine, oxen.
Yoking or taming…bringing under subjection, causing to obey to commands a family…meaning the family of Israel and who would that be? The twelve tribes, but not all, but only a remnant is brought to this….the saints, those being the ones who keep the commandments –AND- have the faith of Yeshua.
H502
אלף
'âlaph
aw-lof'
A primitive root, to associate with; hence to learn (and causatively to teach): - learn, teach, utter.
2Sa 23:13 And three of the thirty chief went down, and came to David in the harvest time unto the cave of Adullam: and the troop of the Philistines pitched in the valley of Rephaim.
2Sa 23:23 He was more honourable than the thirty, but he attained not to the first three. And David set him over his guard.
2Sa 23:24 Asahel the brother of Joab was one of the thirty; Elhanan the son of Dodo of Bethlehem,
Now, let’s look at that verse again and compare to the above three verses from 2Sam:
(YLT) And David gathered again every chosen one in Israel, thirty thousand,
Could it be that the verse 6:1 was written in error when recording “thousand”?
And so, even though it cannot be proven, that the thousand we see in Revelation is in error or is correct, we must remember that John wrote in Hebrew, not Greek and we already can be certain that Alpha and Omega are Aleph and Tav and so if this is the case, then the “thousand we find in regards to the 144k, might not be meant in the sense of numerals.
It might very well be heads of the family who are learned. This based on the Hebrew parent and child definitions using the verses in Samuel to prove this out.
Now…let’s then also look a this verse from Revelation which seemed confusing, but if considered along with this new insight into the true meaning of the words used to described the 144k, we see how it might fit better.
Rev 21:17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
Could it be that it is 144 chosen ones (called out?), 12 from each tribe? Wouldn’t this then make more sense?
Exo 1:5
(JPS) And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls; and Joseph was in Egypt already.
(KJV) And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.
(KJV+) And allH3605 the soulsH5315 that came outH3318 of the loinsH3409 of JacobH3290 wereH1961 seventyH7657 souls:H5315 for JosephH3130 wasH1961 in EgyptH4714 already.
(KJVA) And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls: for Joseph was in Egypt already.
(LITV) And all the souls that came out of the loins of Jacob were seventy souls, Joseph being in Egypt.
(YLT) And all the persons coming out of the thigh of Jacob are seventy persons; as to Joseph, he was in Egypt.
Even though the above verses “allude” to 70 souls, it clearly tells us that Joseph is outside of this count of 70. So then, Joseph, would make 71. Or…..do Ephraim an Manasseh replace and then count as two then making it 72 souls?
Possibly given Jacob’s own blessing put upon the boys:
Gen 48:5 And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.
Gen 48:6 And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.
In the footnotes of various versions of scripture, we find references that indicate that in some of the writings discovered of the book of Exodus that the number of souls is written as 72.
Exo 24:1 And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off.
Exo 24:9 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel:
if two witnesses from each tribe might be considered, then 72 "sets" of two would equal 144 souls or heads of each tribe. Since the 144k are also qualified by the criteria to keep the commandments and have the faith of EHYEHshua.
Does this make them more mysterious or does it clarify exactly who they are? Only time will tell.
Barley is the first grain to be harvested in the new year. It is the first grain offered. This would make it the chief spring harvest. Firstfruits. Firstborn grain. Chief offering.
Barley Verses:
(Exo 9:31) And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.
