The age at when He entered into priestly duties was in keeping with Torah:
Num 4:3 From thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all that enter into the host, to do the work in the tabernacle of the congregation.
Num 4:4 This shall be the service of the sons of Kohath in the tabernacle of the congregation, about the most holy things:
Lev 8:6 And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.
Luk 3:23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

The ritual cleansing that took place also as commanded in Torah:
Exo 29:4 And Aaron and his sons thou shalt bring unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and shalt wash them with water.
While the KJV uses the word “washes”, the Stone’s Tanach uses the word IMMERSE.
Mat 3:13 Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
Mat 3:14 But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?
Mat 3:15 And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.
Mat 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
Mat 3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Jesus was baptized (a full immersion) by John (who was of Aaronite lineage) in order to inaugurate/ordain/sanctify Jesus as High Priest ( in preparation for His ministry, His calling of the 12, His atonement on the cross for us, as only a High Priest performs this duty). Jesus also by virtue of His ancestor King David who also carried Aaronite blood in him. (See Exodus 6:23;2Kings 15:32,33 and more)
