Confused about Islamic Tenets of Faith

The curriculum also taught:

 

"Islam at heart is a peaceful religion."

Jihad is a "personal struggle in devotion to Islam, especially involving spiritual discipline."

"To Muslims, Allah is the same God that is worshiped in Christianity and Judaism."

So this then begs a huge question....WHY if Allah is the same God as as in Christianity and Judaism.......WHY do those in the Islamic faith, want to wipe out all who profess to be Christian or Jew???

I must be missing something. Anyone care to contribute their ideas?

I submit even in Christianity AND Judaism, we struggle daily in the same things. So Jihad must apply to all three faiths then???
