The NAME Suppressed - The REAL REASON

The NAME Suppressed - The REAL REASON

7th day of the 6th month

This morning, in my kitchen listening to praise and worship songs and raising up my hands to the Most High in thanks for all He does for me and my family. A song about His Name comes on and while lifting up my arms and singing along, the realizations about His Name come pouring forth.

Not that I have not known this, not that I have not realized this before, but this morning, with a renewed sense of meaning and understanding.

A while back, I read something somewhere, regarding perhaps, the real reason why the name of YHWH has been suppressed. If this offends anyone, it is not my intent at all. But history speaks for itself no matter how offensive it is.

If you do a search on the word "name" or the phrases "in My name"; call on My name" or variations of that, you will find something remarkable. All throughout scripture, YHWH attempts to reach us, He attempts to give us His Name in power.

He offers it up to be uttered, for us to call on Him. So then WHY? Why has the name been suppressed? We are told, by Jewish scholars and rabbis that we are to not utter the name because of it's holiness. But the scriptures bare evidence to the contrary. YHWH invited us to say His name, to call upon Him. There was even the tradition to greet others in His name such as Boaz did, as it is written.

So why do we go along with the traditions of men? Even Christians should understand, with a basic rudimentary knowledge of the English language, that the word "God" means nothing. Would you greet you spouse whom you love, by calling them "man" or "woman"???? Instead of using their name??

To call someone by their name, is a form of intimate communication with another. This is what YHWH desires. An intimate relationship with us.

Seek out in the New Testament, all the places where it is written that the scribes, Pharisees and elders were either banning the use of the name, or arresting such for doing so.

WHY???

Not for the reasons the Jewish scholars declare. YHWH's name has POWER. Power to rebuke the enemy, power to destroy the enemy and those whose father is the devil, indeed had very good reason for not wanting that name uttered. It was like a plague of death to them. For anyone to know the name, to know the power that comes with it, would not only take away their control over mankind, but also they were in fear and dread of being destroyed by it.

Judah (Jews) forbidden by YHWH Himself to utter His name.

Jer 44:26  Therefore hear ye the word of the LORD, all Judah that dwell in the land of Egypt; Behold, I have sworn by my great name, saith the LORD, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, The Lord GOD liveth.

Act 4:17  But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.

Act 4:18  And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

Act 5:40  And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

Act 15:26  Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

1Pe 4:14  If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

It is the scheme of the adversary to hide the name as he wishes to destroy the Children of Light.

Act 2:21  And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Rom 10:12  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Rom 10:13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

From a compound of G3717 and the base of G5114; to make a straight cut, that is, (figuratively) to dissect (expound) correctly (the divine message): - rightly divide.
