Silence in heaven about the space of half an hour. A mystery for which up until the other day, I had fiddled with it without any success. Then, viewing someone’s message on YouTube, they mentioned that an hour was about 2 weeks or 15 days. Where they got that, I don’t know but something clicked and if this timeline is true, then half an hour would be about 7 to 8 days. Since everything revolves around the Feast Days, we know it is the fall Feasts that have not been fulfilled yet and that the Hebrew wedding customs are patterned and align with the Feast of Tabernacles. This Appointed Time is 7 days long with an 8th day Great Assembly.

While reading aloud to my family from the JPS version, I was struck by the word “Silence”in Deuteronomy chapter 27:9 :

Deu 27:9 (JPS) Moses and the levitical priests spoke to all Israel, saying:

Silence! Hear, O Israel! Today you have become the people of the LORD your God:

Deu 27:9(KJV)  And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.

Deu 27:9  And MosesH4872 and the priestsH3548 the LevitesH3881 spakeH1696 untoH413 allH3605 Israel,H3478 saying,H559 Take heed,H5535 and hearken,H8085 O Israel;H3478 thisH2088 dayH3117 thou art becomeH1961 the peopleH5971 of the LORDH3068 thy God.H430

H5535  Take heed,H5535

סכת

sâkath

saw-kath'

A primitive root; to be silent; by implication to observe quietly: - take heed.

Please note this word “SILENCE”. I knew the KJV well enough to know that word was not in that verse, so I pulled up e-Sword and found it had the phrase “Take heed” instead. So I searched out that exact phrase and in all the Old Testament there are 29 times this phrase is found….BUT ---- only ONE that is H5535, that is SILENCE. What makes this even more intriguing is the next verse which follows verse 9:

Deu 27:10 (JPS) Heed the LORD your God and observe His commandments and His laws, which I enjoin upon you this day.

Deu 27:10  Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

If we are to see this as the time of the wedding, then this might be what is said about taking the vows.

Rev 8:1  And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.
