Renew, Rebuild, Repair

Renew, Rebuild, Repair

12th day, 3rd month

The swirling debate about new moons and months. Just as it is almost impossible to explain to a Christian about WHY we keep Sabbath, since they hang to the lie about the LAW being done away with; so too the new moon holds sway over Torah keepers.

NOWHERE in Torah, is it found, this phase "new moon". NOWHERE. What we do find is the word "moon" and when you look it up in the Hebrew the word:

H3394 "moon" (Yod-Rosh-Heth)

ירח

yârêach

yaw-ray'-akh

From the same as H3391; the moon: - moon.

This word bears NO RESEMBLANCE at all, to the Hebrew (one word) that is defined as the English (two words) "new moon". That word being "CHODESH":

H2320 (Heth-Dalet-Shin)

חדשׁ

chôdesh

kho'-desh

From H2318; the new moon; by implication a month: - month (-ly), new moon.

H2318

חדשׁ

châdash

khaw-dash'

A primitive root; to be new; causatively to rebuild: - renew, repair.

Yet, looking at the words of "HOLY, SANCTIFIED" we find the Hebrew word "QODESH"

H6944 (Qoph- Dalet- Shin)

קדשׁ

qôdesh

ko'-desh

From H6942; a sacred place or thing; rarely abstractly sanctity: - consecrated (thing), dedicated (thing), hallowed (thing), holiness, (X most) holy (X day, portion, thing), saint, sanctuary.

H6942

קדשׁ

qâdash

kaw-dash'

A primitive root; to be (causatively make, pronounce or observe as) clean (ceremonially or morally): - appoint, bid, consecrate, dedicate, defile, hallow, (be, keep) holy (-er, place), keep, prepare, proclaim, purify, sanctify (-ied one, self), X wholly.
