Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge

Jesus Kept the "Law" Part 4

EHYEHshua Kept Torah add4

1 October, 2012- First day of Feast of Tabernacles

It never ceases to amaze me where the treasure nuggets come from. Someone who wrote to a Hebrew scholar who runs a newsletter and website for the lost ten tribes, submitted scriptural possibility of the tribe of Dan being in the lineage of the Messiah through Nahshon, who was in fact, in the direct lineage of Judah to the Messiah. but the name Nahshon cannot go unnoticed as to it's Hebrew meaning:

H5177

נחשׁון

nachshôn

nakh-shone'

From H5172; enchanter; Nachshon, an Israelite: - Naashon, Nahshon.

Now, at first glance we see nothing. But as I have discovered, we must follow the word trail to uncover the mysteries of truth. As we can see, this name's meaning is referred back to H5172:

H5172

נחשׁ

nâchash

naw-khash'

A primitive root; properly to hiss, that is, whisper a (magic) spell; generally to prognosticate: -  X certainly, divine, enchanter, (use) X enchantment, learn by experience, X indeed, diligently observe.

Again, we don't see much. Now I suggest going a step farther by looking at each Hebrew word "within" the range of these. Meaning, from H5172 on up to H5177 which brings us back to the original name mentioned. In that group, we find that several words become crucial in this understanding:

H5172

נחשׁ

nâchash

naw-khash'

A primitive root; properly to hiss, that is, whisper a (magic) spell; generally to prognosticate: -  X certainly, divine, enchanter, (use) X enchantment, learn by experience, X indeed, diligently observe.

 H5174

נחשׁ

nechâsh

nekh-awsh'

(Chaldee); corresponding to H5154; copper: - brass.

Num 21:8  And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

Num 21:9  And Moses made a serpent of brass, ( see H5178)and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

H5178

נחשׁת

nechôsheth

nekh-o'-sheth

For H5154; copper; hence, something made of that metal, that is, coin, a fetter; figuratively base (as compared with gold or silver): - brasen, brass, chain, copper, fetter (of brass), filthiness, steel.

Now, we also know that serpents do indeed "hiss". I was always taken aback by the following:

Isa 5:26  And he will lift up an ensign to the nations from far, and will hiss unto them from the end of the earth: and, behold, they shall come with speed swiftly:

Isa 5:27  None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the girdle of their loins be loosed, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken:

Isa 7:18  And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall hiss for the fly that is in the uttermost part of the rivers of Egypt, and for the bee that is in the land of Assyria.

And now, for the best part:

Joh 3:14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Joh 3:15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Do we not see a direct correlation of EHYEHshua not only being lifted up on that cross, but that He heals us by this act just as the brasen serpent upon the pole healed Israel of their bites. See also the Strong's H5391 for the English word "bitten":

H5391

נשׁך

nâshak

naw-shak'

A primitive root; to strike with a sting (as a serpent); figuratively, to oppress with interest on a loan: - bite, lend upon usury.

Are we not oppressed in one aspect, by the Babylonian money system in place today?

So then, is the name Nahshon (spelling variants to include: Nachshon, Naashon), even though we find it as a name belonging to one of Judah in EHYEHshua's direct bloodlines, symbolic of this same healing serpent? Does the bloodline of EHYEHshua possibly even include somewhere along the line, someone of the tribe of Dan? The possibility exists, this is certain since the Messiah will be our judge. As we study deeper into the scriptures, one thing will emerge and that is that our Meschiach takes on the aspects of each of the 12 tribes in some way. Could this be why YHWH said:

Hos 11:1  When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

Mat 2:15  And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
