Exo 12:13  And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Reading the above verse, as we see it in any English translation, we see nothing about the blood except that the blood is a token, a sign and that when YHWH sees it, He will pass over those who have listened and obeyed His instruction regarding putting the blood of the lamb on the doorposts and lintel.

Those who did not obey would die.

In the Stone’s Tanach, the actual Hebrew is on the right-hand page and the English transliteration is on the left.  Again, in the English something crucial is left out. Searching the Hebrew text we can find it. In the Strong’s KJV+ module of e-Sword we also find it. The mysterious (and apparently) confusing “Aleph Tau” (AT,ET). Rabbinic scholars, Jewish sages and those who are responsible for scribing and copying the Scriptures and Torah, just don’t know what to make of it, so while they still include it with the Hebrew copies, they omit it for English translations. This omission appears to have grave implications once we grasp that Jesus Christ IS the Word.

This “Aleph Tau” appears 7,302 times in the entire Old Testament. It must be very important. The very first occurrence is in Genesis 1:1:

Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Again, appearances show nothing. We must look to the Strong’s KJV+ in e-Sword to find it:

Gen 1:1  In the beginningH7225 GodH430 createdH1254 (H853) the heavenH8064 and the earth.H776

It is BEFORE the creation of the heaven and earth. BEFORE it. BEFORE those events. Looking to John 1:1, we find something that helps us to SEE:

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Word. The Hebrew Alephbet, begins with Aleph and ends with Tau. The first and the last (or in Greek, the Alpha and Omega).

Every single word spoken by God, was formed from the beginning letter, Aleph to the last letter Tau. Words formed from all 22 letters used to utter Creation into existence. If Jesus is the Word, then it was He who made the heaven and the earth:

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Joh 1:2  The same was in the beginning with God.

Joh 1:3  All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Now, let’s go back to Genesis 1:1:

Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Gen 1:1  In the beginningH7225 GodH430 createdH1254 (H853) the heavenH8064 and the earth.H776

Recall that the original texts had no punctuation. That man put these “markers and separators” in. These can not only cause confusion, they can completely destroy the true meaning of what is to be understood.

So with that in mind, we should SEE that the WORD came BEFORE the heaven and the earth and the verses in John chapter 1 confirm this.

Going back to Exodus, let’s take a closer look at verse thirteen of chapter twelve:

Exo 12:13  And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.

Exo 12:13  And the bloodH1818 shall beH1961 to you for a tokenH226 uponH5921 the housesH1004 whereH834 yeH859 are: and when I seeH7200 (H853) the blood,H1818 I will passH6452 overH5921 you, and the plagueH5063 shall notH3808 beH1961 upon you to destroyH4889 you, when I smiteH5221 the landH776 of Egypt.H4714

The first mention of BLOOD in this verse is telling us that God chooses it to be a sign to Him, so that He will pass over the house which is protected and the plague of the death of the firstborn will not enter in there.

This SECOND mention however, has much bigger implications. The Aleph Tau is present BEFORE the blood implying or inferring that this blood would not be just any blood. It is ALEPH TAU Blood. It is the blood of Christ Jesus. It is the Blood of the Word who was, was with God and was God.

Author’s Note: I first learned of the Aleph Tau in 2009. As I began to think about it, with relation to the Blood, more things became clear and the one crucial fact is the knowledge of this is an absolute GAME CHANGER for anyone reading and studying Scripture. So many err in the standard beliefs that Jesus and the God of the “Old Testament” are two separate gods and that one has nothing to do with the other. While we need to learn more about the Holiness of God, so we can understand WHY He instructed Israel to destroy the nations of those who occupied His land, the truth of the Aleph Tau, the Word, that is Jesus Christ has been suppressed and kept away from us. While some may look at this as deliberate, we must also consider that at the time of Jesus, the Jews were against Him and those in power had great influence. If the leaders of that day were blind to Jesus and who He was, then they must have been blind to the words of the prophets and yes, even the Torah. Had they recognized Him from the writings of Torah and the Tanach, they would have known that this mysterious Aleph Tau was Him.
