Hos 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge

Jesus Kept The "Law" Part 11

EHYEHshua Kept Torah Add11

3rd day, 7th month

I have been thinking about this one for a few days now, but this morning in prayer realized another aspect of it. In this month, we are to reflect upon and release unforgiveness in our hearts.  From the 1st day of the 7th month up to the 10th day, we are to reflect upon ourselves and call to remembrance any unforgiveness in our hearts and deal with it.

My youngest son came home from school two weeks before telling of how the pastor had said that Jesus was our intercessor and from whatever reason he didn't get this message when I have taught it, he did when the pastor did. That got me to thinking about EHYEHshua and His final words on the cross before He committed His spirit to Abba Father.

FORGIVE THEM FATHER FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO.

 Not only was this the first intercession He made for man, but as He was---the final and once and for all Atonement Offering, just as the High Priest did for Israel once a year, the prayer would have been offered up just before the sacrifice of the animal's blood being poured out.

EHYEHshua as our High Priest complied perfectly with the Torah commandments and statutes of this Atonement offering.

Luk 23:34  Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

When someone does something they have no idea what it is they have done, this is something done in IGNORANCE. They know not what they do.

Below are all the verses whereby it is written regarding the sins of Israel committed in IGNORANCE.

(Lev 4:2)  Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a soul shall sin through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and shall do against any of them:

(Lev 4:13)  And if the whole congregation of Israel sin through ignorance, and the thing be hid from the eyes of the assembly, and they have done somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which should not be done, and are guilty;

(Lev 4:22)  When a ruler hath sinned, and done somewhat through ignorance against any of the commandments of the LORD his God concerning things which should not be done, and is guilty;

(Lev 4:27)  And if any one of the common people sin through ignorance, while he doeth somewhat against any of the commandments of the LORD concerning things which ought not to be done, and be guilty;

(Lev 5:15)  If a soul commit a trespass, and sin through ignorance, in the holy things of the LORD; then he shall bring for his trespass unto the LORD a ram without blemish out of the flocks, with thy estimation by shekels of silver, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering:

(Lev 5:18)  And he shall bring a ram without blemish out of the flock, with thy estimation, for a trespass offering, unto the priest: and the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his ignorance wherein he erred and wist it not, and it shall be forgiven him.

(Num 15:24)  Then it shall be, if ought be committed by ignorance without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bullock for a burnt offering, for a sweet savour unto the LORD, with his meat offering, and his drink offering, according to the manner, and one kid of the goats for a sin offering.

(Num 15:25)  And the priest shall make an atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it is ignorance: and they shall bring their offering, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD, and their sin offering before the LORD, for their ignorance:

(Num 15:26)  And it shall be forgiven all the congregation of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; seeing all the people were in ignorance.

(Num 15:27)  And if any soul sin through ignorance, then he shall bring a she goat of the first year for a sin offering.

(Num 15:28)  And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him.

(Num 15:29)  Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.

It seems abundantly clear that YHWH knew we would sin in ignorance. Why? How? Because His Children Israel, would eventually be scattered to the four corners of the earth; because He would cause them to forget their name; because the wicked ways of evil would permeate their faith, polluting it with pagan practices and they would commit the following sins in ignorance, over and over again, never ceasing:

Murder, Envy, Gossip, False Witness, Worship of Idols, Not keeping Sabbath, Adultery, etc.

The eating of unclean foods, the disregard for the Feast Days of YHWH, replacing them with pagan feast days.

The complete disregard for the Torah that was written for them, but they have been told lies, taught that it had been done away with, when in fact, it was given to them exclusively first, then for any stranger who desired to join themselves and then that stranger was to also adhere to Torah. Even those of the nations (Gentiles- Goyim) among whom the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel were scattered.

EHYEHshua's final words before His sacrifice upon that cross, was the first act of Atonement made by Him as our High Priest for which instructions are clearly laid out in Torah, specifically in Leviticus, that is, instructions for the High Priest in making atonement for the sins of Israel, whether committed knowingly -OR- in IGNORANCE.

Mal 3:1  Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.

Mal 3:2  But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

Mal 3:3  And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the LORD an offering in righteousness.

Mal 3:4  Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the LORD, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

Mal 3:5  And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the LORD of hosts.

Mal 3:6  For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.

Mal 3:7  Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?

Mat_5:17  Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

 As humans, we fear change. We have been taught ways that are not of our Father in Heaven and this has been for many hundreds of years. We fear change, but if a change does not take place, we cannot be fully blessed. It is true that the keeping of the Torah/Law cannot save us, but it is also true that the keeping of Torah can and does bless us abundantly and that the breaking of Torah done by the turning away from Him will take and turn blessings into curses of judgment.

EHYEHshua died for our sins committed in ignorance so we might be saved from the punishment of death through the breaking of YHWH's Torah/Law. So we are saved and have eternal life. But the Torah was written for us, His lost sheep of the House of Israel. We are lost, we have been lost.

EHYEHshua/Jesus kept Torah implicitly, perfectly, flawlessly. Why? Because He was the WORD in the flesh and if the WORD, then He was TORAH in the flesh and if He was Torah in the flesh, how could He possibly go against Himself and His own WORD?

Study the Torah and when you do, the patterns of how EHYEHshua kept Torah, even in ways not readily apparent, will manifest in the reading of the Renewed Covenant.

  • As you can see, this one is from 2014. Throughout the years as I study, I will document these and publish them here when I can. My filing system and my memory, not so good anymore :)
