Reading the Book of Jubilees, we find if we do an exhaustive counting, that Moses was chosen to lead Israel out of Egypt in a Jubilee of Jubilees. In short, it was a 50th cycle of 50 years, a sort of “Super Jubilee”. This does answer a burning question that should be on the minds of anyone who knows the Feast days and that is, that the entering of the Land is supposed to happen in a Jubilee year, so why was Israel only in the wilderness for 40 years???

According to the counting in the Book of Jubilees, Moses began his trek at the beginning of this Super Jubilee Cycle and the 40 years of wandering was to complete this time.

When we break down the verse of Joshua we find some interesting things:

Jos 5:10  And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho.

Jos 5:11  And they did eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow after the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn in the selfsame day.

Jos 5:12  And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

Lev 25:10  And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.

Lev 25:11  A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.

Lev 25:12  For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.

Jos 5:13  And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?

Jos 5:14  And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?

SEVEN THUNDERS….SEVEN TRUMPETS????

In doing the research of these words, the verse from Revelation about the seven thunders came to mind:

Rev 10:3  And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.

Rev 10:4  And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.

(Rev 10:7)  But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

(Rev 11:15)  And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

(Rev 16:17)  And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done.

The SEVEN thunders and the SEVENTH Angel and the events of Joshua’s campaign against Jericho.

A jubilee is a completion of a cycle and ends with release from captivity.
