Below is an excerpt from the book of Ezekiel. Many other English translations are very similar. Even if those in Christianity understand they are of the lost House of Israel, the wording is obscure enough, very subtle using words which muddy the truth of the message.

Eze 18:25  Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

Eze 18:26  When a righteous man turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and dieth in them; for his iniquity that he hath done shall he die.

Eze 18:27  Again, when the wicked man turneth away from his wickedness that he hath committed, and doeth that which is lawful and right, he shall save his soul alive.

Eze 18:28  Because he considereth, and turneth away from all his transgressions that he hath committed, he shall surely live, he shall not die.

Eze 18:29  Yet saith the house of Israel, The way of the Lord is not equal. O house of Israel, are not my ways equal? are not your ways unequal?

Eze 18:30  Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Eze 18:31  Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

Eze 18:32  For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.

While even after reading the above verses in the KJV, we might still not see it clearly, then let’s take a look at a more direct translation of a couple of crucial verses from the Hebrew:

Eze 18:25 And if you should say, ‘The way of my Lord is not proper’ then hear now, O House of Israel! Is My way not proper? Surely it is your ways that are not proper!

Eze 18:29 Yet the House of Israel says, ‘The way of my Lord is not proper.’ Are My ways not proper, O House of Israel? Surely it is your ways that are not proper!

Eze 18:30 Therefore, I will judge you, each man according to his ways, O House of Israel’ says the Word of the LORD. Return and bring others back from all your transgressions, so that they not be for you an obstacle of iniquity.

Eze 18:31 Cast off from upon yourselves all your transgressions through which you have transgressed, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. Why should you die O House of Israel?

Eze 18:32 For I do not desire the death of the one who should die says the Word of the LORD. Turn yourselves back and live!

The wording is different enough, that another meaning, a more true meaning shines through. Those of us who have come to know the truth, we have an obligation to share it no matter how it turns out, even if we have to suffer rejection as a result. Many have friends and family who will reject the truth and we must be willing to be separated from them. We do this for God, we must place Him first and foremost. If we do this, then those we think we think we have lost, God will honor our continued prayers for them and He will be faithful to deliver and your prayers will be heard.

But even when we get past clarifying the words, we hit an even huger stumbling block. The doctrine of Christianity has beaten it over our heads that we are Gentiles and that what is good for the Jew has nothing to do with us. Christianity has beaten it into us that the words of Paul have more weight than the words of our precious Saviour Jesus Christ. Christianity has beaten it into us that what they call the Old Testament is not for them, it is for the Jews. Make no mistake. The Jewish community is suffering loss also but from the other side. The grievous error made by both is separation of the truth. Division is our downfall even within the Scriptures.

Jesus said He came for the lost sheep of the House of Israel. Why is it so difficult for Christians to receive that they could very well be these sheep??? Until the old ways of false doctrine are shattered, the veil covering this truth will continue to hide our eyes and stop up our ears. As long as this “Gentile veil” remains in place, true Israel will not know their place, their mission, their purpose and the will not understand that the verses found in Ezekiel 18:25-32 are talking about them!
