There are so many calendar systems out there that folks are following and using to count days, months and biblical feast days. We even have different flavors of the Babylonian lunar calendar system, some using the new moon or conjunction or even full moon to begin counting. Even the solar calendars have diversity. The book of Enoch contains a description of what should be called the Divine Year Calendar (DYCAL).

Many different camps are keeping this one too, but also in various ways. Some try to make it fit (364) into our 365 ¼ day solar year. This is impossible to do without days shifting. Some believe in only the 360 days, some 364. Some will reset for the Fall using the Fall Equinox (as another way to adjust for the differences) and yet others begin their count from the Spring equinox.

In 2010 some information from a well known ministry, came my way in a newsletter about this other “solar/lunar” calendar. That each month when the new moon appears, we should count from that to get our Sabbath days which means each month the Sabbath would fall on a different given day of the week. He offered up many scriptures which seemed to support his theory, but when our family tried it out, it just felt wrong. After a few weeks, YHWH gave me a dream in the early hours about His Sabbath and then He pressed me all that day to dig into the languages of the earth to see what they had to say. In every language found, what we call Saturday, is called (in that given language) either Sabbath or Seven.

Spanish is Sabbado as an example.

After all of that, we went back to keeping Friday evening into Saturday as our Sabbath as it should be and things went back to normal. Except that when I attempted to figure out the DY calendar I kept hitting roadblocks with the intercalary days. I then left the calendar alone for a little over 2 years.

Then in 2012 it all came together as I had a stack of books beside me and I was going through them looking for one thing, finding another. I re opened Enoch and began riffling the pages and was rereading about the calendar and it all fell into place.

Maybe this is the wrong place to say all of this, but to just jump into the Day of Atonement without providing some background, is just going to confuse anyone who might read it. I can’t even say with surety that it will still be clear, even after this.

It is such a huge topic to teach and so far has been virtually impossible to share online because of the sheer magnitude of it. Not that the calendar is complicated, in fact it is so simple, it is like a hidden picture we find in Highlights magazines. Once you see it, you cannot unsee it. Once you see it you will gasp in wonder.

For me, all of my walk in God’s truth began with first keeping the Sabbath. It was a growing conviction which would take about ten years to bear fruit. Since it all began with Sabbath, it most likely will end with Sabbath. The one repeating message and theme from YHWH has been His words to me: “Sabbath is Mine”.

So, having said that, even before the calendar epiphany on a Sabbath in November 2012, I began to ask myself about verses whereby the number of a certain day and/or month was given. That I suspected there was relevance, but had no idea what it might be at that time. After I figured out how the DYCAL was supposed to be laid out within the framing of Sabbaths, I began to re-search the scriptures to see what, if any things might be revealed.

YHWH has been faithful to deliver, along the way, more and more confirmations as I study and come across them. This work is the most recent.

While studying about the Day of Atonement in Leviticus, I was always puzzled about why was this day described the way it was, as if people needed to know exactly how to keep it. If it was a holy convocation as other appointed days are, why the need to make sure to describe about it being a 9th day at even???

When we understand how this calendar system works, it is made clear. By this system, all of God’s Holy Appointed times fall on Sabbaths (and also 8th days but for another time). Weekly Sabbaths that as a result of Holy Sabbaths in the 1st and 7th months, they are High days, more holy, more sanctified than even a regular weekly Sabbath day.

So then, in the 7th month (DYCAL) the first day of the 7th month is a Saturday sundown into Sunday. A 1st day. Counting out the following Sabbath would be a 7th day (as it should patterned after Creation week). Subsequently, each Sabbath following are then 14th,21st,28th.

The four intercalary days also fall on Sabbaths as they RENEW then, the month that follows. These are the days not counted in the months as outlined in Enoch. They are not counted in the months, BUT they are counted in the year as a whole. They have no number assigned to them, so they are not counted. They are marker days, RESET days, RENEWAL days.

Even if you are reading this and still don’t see it, or it sound confusing, please stay with me.

There are 12 months of 30 days each in this DYCAL. They are divided in sets of four.

3 months; intercalary Sabbath;3 months; intercalary Sabbath; 3 months; intercalary Sabbath; 3 months.

Then it starts all over again with no break inbetween.

This calendar system is very easy to learn once it is understood. YHWH is all about repeating patterns and His calendar is no different. Each set of 3 months following an intercalary Sabbath are exactly the same as the next set and so forth. It is predictable, it is precise and it never changes just as God never changes.

When an intercalary Sabbath occurs it allows for a reset of the COUNTING of the numbers for the days, most especially for the month immediately following that Intercalary Sabbath. These would be: 1st,4th,7th,10th months, whose days would then align as they are numbered for the Creation pattern. Using this calendar pattern, we can also understand why Passover occurs on the 14th day of the month (why not the beginning??) as it is told in Book of Jubilees)(another study for another time).

Gods’ Holy Appointed times are only in months in which the Creation pattern is repeated and renewed with His holy numerals of 7,14,21. Each of these days is a Sabbath, always is a Sabbath and that never changes.

Now, having said that then, a 9th day would begin at sundown Sunday evening.

The 10th day would begin at sundown Monday evening. Let’s look at the verse in question:

Lev 23:32  It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

Lev 23:32  ItH1931 shall be unto you a sabbathH7676 of rest,H7677 and ye shall afflictH6031 (H853) your souls:H5315 in the ninthH8672 day of the monthH2320 at even,H6153 from evenH4480 H6153 untoH5704 even,H6153 shall ye celebrateH7673 your sabbath.H7676

H8672  “in the ninthH8672

תּשׁעה    תּשׁע

têsha‛  tish‛âh

tay'-shah, tish-aw'

The second form is the masculine of the first; perhaps from H8159 through the idea of a turn to the next or full number ten; nine or (ordinal) ninth: - nine (+ -teen, + -teenth, -th).

With all the different calendar systems out there, with everyone celebrating God’s holy Days on all sorts of different days, who then is right? At this time, I feel that God is looking into the hearts of people and their sincerity in trying to do what’s right. There will be a day that comes when all is restored and His calendar will be also.

I presented this information because every time I am in scriptures and I find a particular verse which causes confusion or debate, this format clears it up perfectly.

Because it is a total of 364 days in the DYCAL and our solar year is (as we are told anyway) 365 days, they will never align. It does drift from year to year, for now. I believe the time is coming when all things will align perfectly and if you, the reader, are willing to learn this calendar, you will be amazed at the simplicity, the flawlessness and how beautifully it fits into God’s Word.
