Chodesh. The Hebrew word translated into English as “Holy”. Chodesh, a word connected to God, to describe God, to define God. He requires mandatorily, that we be holy, because He is holy.

Chodesh is also a word associated with Sabbath. It IS Sabbath in all that Sabbath is. Sanctified, Set Apart, Untouchable by anything evil. It is the day which God Set Apart from all the rest, making it His Rest. It is also, buy definition, the ONLY CLEAN DAY of the week. Sanctified time in which we can meet with Him.

It stands to reason then, that God’s holiness and the holiness of Sabbath are one and the same. This Sanctification came from Him and was used to create a Sanctified time for us to commune with Him. Sabbath is CLEAN, Sanctified, Set Apart and Holy, the same as God, a reflection of Him given to us in this 7th day.

This 7th day has been the 7th day since that first week in which all Creation was made. It is an unbroken chain that cannot be touched by the enemy. It has not changed. Ever.

It is the one SIGN by which all of the nation of Israel, can know they are His.

God is Holy. What are His Appointed Times then? Are they Holy? Are they CLEAN? Are they Sanctified days? Are they Set Apart Days? If God’s Appointed Times are Holy as He is, then what day would be acceptable in His sight? Could God’s Appointed Times be on any other day than the only day of the week which is sanctified?

Intercalary Sabbath days. Not counted in the months, but counted for the completion of the year. They occur four times and stand alone between the months which are counted. Three months with thirty days each, then an intercalary Sabbath occurs. Special Sabbaths which perform something incredibly important.

They RENEW the months that come after them.

God is Holy. His Creation week pattern is kept intact for His Appointed Times by the function of these intercalary Sabbath days which RENEW the months in accordance with the Creation week pattern, the Jubilee pattern and the completion of time.

Gen 2:3  And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
