While there might be proof that the solar year truly is 365 and 1/4 days long, what real proof do we have? We go on the "say so" of the so-called experts.
The only way to truly prove it would be to actually mark a certain day (using whatever method you wish) and actually take the time to record each single day and count out until you get to your certain day you began with. Who has done that? Did it work? Please let me know what your results were.
Many theories abound but the one thing we do know is that the Egyptians appear to lay claim to figuring this out. So, why should we even trust that?
Others speculate that something either happened during the Flood, or Joshua's long day or the combination of both has yielded us the additional 30 hours.
The Book of Enoch lays out the year in a way that can be puzzling at first. One part is written saying the year is 360 days, another 364. Mostly 364 but it goes on to say that the four LEADER days should not be counted (for perhaps prophetic reasons??).
There are the 360 day supporters and the 364 day supporters. What if they are both right?
According to Enoch, they would be. While the actual COUNT of days in the DY Calendar is 360, the 4 Leader days, known as the INTERCALARY days are not counted in prophetic time. This renders the 360 days as still being part of the whole count, but only looked at prophetically as such. This really does fix the whole problem and answer all the questions. Only one crucial thing remains, and that is, that each INTERCALARY day is supposed to occur on a weekly Sabbath.
While we know that the solar events, according to the 365 day year based upon the Gregorian Calendar, don't appear to stay on any given day (they appear to wander by reason of the pre-determined dating of man), perhaps they either really still do, or they did at one time and now their paths have been disturbed by reason of either the earth's movement, or man's deceptions.
So much that has been written has either been hidden away somewhere, or outright destroyed. Those that did survive have been scoffed at accused of being false or denounced and removed from canon. Isaiah had something to say about that in 5:20. As a result of that, perhaps it's safe to say that there must be truth in the books that are called evil.
So then, we have a 364 day year that comprises of a 91 day pattern repeated 4 times to complete the year:
91 days of which the begins on a Sabbath day ( that is the INTERCALARY day); then the FIRST day (of the remaining 90) of the 1ST month is on what we call Sunday as it would also be the first day of the week.
those 90 days are then divided further into 30 day monthly increments; then another INTERCALARY day will occur, surprisingly it lines up and happens again, on a weekly Sabbath.
So recapping, we have the INTERCALARY day as our starting point, a Sabbath day.
Then the first set of 30 days
the 2nd set of 30 days,
the 3rd set of 30 days,
for a total of 91 days, that is a fourth of the year.
In the first set of 30 days (in the first month), counting from Sunday as day one, the first day of the week, the 7th day of that week will be a Sabbath; the 14th, 21st and 28th will all fall on Sabbath. Because they fall on Sabbaths, they are considered CLEAN days. YHWH blessed the 7th day and SANCTIFIED it. When something is sanctified it is set apart and becomes CLEAN.
In the 2nd set of 30 days (in the second month), the new month begins on a Tuesday. Yes, there is now a shift in the pattern, BUT ---- NO BREAK.
In the 2nd month, the weekly Sabbaths are numbered as follows:
5th,12th, 19th, and 26th.
In the 3rd set of 30 days (in the third month), this new month begins on a Thursday. Another shift in the pattern, but again, NO BREAK.
In the 3rd month, the weekly Sabbaths are numbered as follows:
3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th.
In the 3rd month, the 30th day falls on a Friday and that Subsequent Sabbath is, an INTERCALARY day and the pattern of 91 days repeats exactly the same as the first. All four sets follow the exact same pattern.
The purpose of those intercalary days allow for a RESET to the new month which follows it allowing for the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th days to always fall on a Sabbath. Why is that important?
Because you will find that YHWH's Feast Days revolve around those days and those days are CLEAN days because they are Sabbaths and the Sabbath was SANCTIFIED and made HOLY from the Beginning.
The RENEWED Months are the 1st month, the 4th month, the 7th month and the 10th month. While nothing is mentioned in the commandments of the Feast days regarding the 4th or 10th months, we can see the pattern of doing it this way, allows for YHWH's Holy months to be in line with His Sanctified Sabbath.
Okay. So this is more than I had planned on in this particular lesson. It is lots to take in and might not seem clear yet, but if you have patience and are willing to continue, hopefully and prayerfully, it will all make sense.
Suffice it to say that there are 360 prophetic days, along with 4 intercalary days which total 364. Each single day has it's purpose according to YHWH.
I think I can promise that once it all comes together, I will be able to present to you the reader, how many, many mysterious and confusing verses and concepts, will open up with clarity and understanding.
