The same word in Hebrew "zakar" is used where we find in English: "males" and "remember"

    Gen 9:15  And I will rememberH2142 (H853) my covenant,H1285 whichH834 is betweenH996 me and you and everyH3605 livingH2416 creatureH5315 of allH3605 flesh;H1320 and the watersH4325 shall noH3808 moreH5750 becomeH1961 a floodH3999 to destroyH7843 allH3605 flesh.H1320

    H2142

    זכר

    zâkar

    zaw-kar'

A primitive root; properly to mark (so as to be recognized), that is, to remember; by implication to mention; also (as denominative from H2145) to be male: -  X burn [incense], X earnestly, be male, (make) mention (of), be mindful, recount, record (-er), remember, make to be remembered, bring (call, come, keep, put) to (in) remembrance, X still, think on, X well.

Below is an excerpt from the Gospel of James. In it, Peter has disdain for Mary because she is a woman, but EHYEHshua has something very curious to say and it had always had me wondering what He meant by the following underlined words:

    (114) Simon Peter said to him, "Let Mary leave us, for women are not worthy of life."
Jesus said, "I myself shall lead her in order to make her (remembered) male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every woman who will make herself male (remembered) will enter the kingdom of heaven."

Joh 14:26  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Only when studying the Hebrew word for "remember", then the words "to be male" stood out and then the words of EHYEHshua in The Gospel of James, made perfect sense.

Searching the word "male" yields H2145:

    H2145

    זכר

    zâkâr

    zaw-kawr'

From H2142; properly remembered, that is, a male (of man or animals, as being the most noteworthy sex): -  X him, male, man (child, -kind).

Searching the word "remember" yields H2142:

    H2142

    זכר

    zâkar

  • Who and What are the 144k?

    by MBPSTB

    2 Dec, 2011

Rev.14:4 These are they which were undefiled by women; for they are virgins.

According to the Greek definition of this word “virgins”...Parthenos:
It can mean "daughters" as in the daughter of Israel. (hmm...a daughter birthed out of original Israel?)
Taken in the context of Mary's betrothal to Joseph...it can also refer to a man (Groom--EHYEHshua) and woman (Israel, bride) already in some kind of relationship by way of a spiritual marriage covenant (betrothal which is the whole pattern of the Passover in that we invite EHYEHshua in when He knocks on the door and He brings the wine with Him, offers up the proposal and we share the wine as a pact, it being the official "yes".) and living in a vow of virginity and celibacy, that is, obedience.

Is this not those who leave behind the traditions of men and turn back (Teshubah) to YHWH and His Torah? Becoming betrothed to EHYEHshua. By virtue of RENEWING and finally accepting His original marriage vows given at Sinai. Only now they are written upon our hearts and this heart contract...or marriage vow is more binding because it resides within us. As we walk in the truth of Torah (did you know the word TRUTH comes from the word TORAH?) we grow in love for our Groom! How deep is that?? How glorious is that? How incredible is that!!!!!
We have become celibate by virtue of keeping the commandments and staying away from the defilement and whoring after other gods. We only have eyes for Him. We are keeping ourselves pure for Him. We have made ourselves pure and He died for us so that we could marry Him legally and spiritually without committing adultery.

"Undefiled by women" doesn't necessarily mean they are male virgins.
The Greek word translated for "undefiled" is Amiantos. It means:
    1. free from contamination
    2. of pure religion

Taking the above definitions "women" could mean the spirit of Jezebel, meaning the paganized wickedness of what the world knows as religion. The whore of Babylon, Easter, Ashtoreth and so on. It also alludes to man's continued lust for the things of the world, money, power, things which become idols in our hearts.

Looking at this and also seeing where in scripture we are told that those who keep the commandments -AND- the faith of EHYEHshua...seems to fit the parameters of the "saints" as possibly being one in the same 144k.....

Possible scriptural evidence of the 144k:

Isa 66:19  And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape from them to the nations of Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, drawers of the bow; to Tubal and Javan, to the far away coasts that have not heard My fame nor seen My glory. And they shall declare My glory among the nations.

Isa 66:20  And they shall bring all your brothers out of all nations, an offering to Jehovah, on horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on camels, to My holy mountain Jerusalem, says Jehovah; as the sons of Israel bring the offering in a clean vessel to the house of Jehovah.

Isa 66:21  And I will also take some of them for the priests, for the Levites, says Jehovah.

Eze 9:4  And Jehovah said to him, Pass through in the midst of the city, in the midst of Jerusalem, and mark a mark on the foreheads of the men who are groaning and are mourning over all the abominations that are done in her midst.

Eze 9:6  Slay the aged men, the young man, and the virgin, even children, and women, all to destruction. But to every man who has the mark on him, do not come near. And begin from My sanctuary. And they began with the aged men who were before the house.

Mat 14:20  And all ate and were satisfied. And they took up the left over pieces, twelve hand-baskets full.

Below is a breakout base upon the understanding of the Levite Aaronite priesthood and their duties and responsibilities. Clearly YHWH privileged them with this distinction and the Teaching and Instruction found within the book of Leviticus is all about the Priesthood and their duties.

Keeping in mind that these things that appear to be symbolic are patterned after the divine things of the eternal heavenly realm of YHWH's temple in heaven.

    Exo 25:14  And thou shalt putH935 (H853) the stavesH905 into the ringsH2885 byH5921 the sidesH6763 of the ark,H727 that(H853) the arkH727 may be borneH5375 with them.

    H905 “staves”

    בּד

    bad

    bad

From H909; properly separation; by implication a part of the body, branch of a tree, bar for carrying; figuratively chief of a city; especially (with prepositional prefix) as adverb, apart, only, besides: - alone, apart, bar, besides, branch, by self, of each alike, except, only, part, staff, strength.

    H909

    בּדד

    bâdad

    baw-dad'

A primitive root; to divide, that is, (reflexively) be solitary: - alone.

be solitary: - alone.   in the books of the  Apocryphal New Testament, (obviously, these were not included in canon),  EHYEHshua used these words to His disciples..to be solitary..these would be the ones who would enter into the kingdom.

So also..the 144k…two sticks…of Ezekiel…the two houses of Judah and Israel. The two staves holding and bearing up the Ark. The saints who keep the commandments and have the faith of EHYEHshua.

    H5375 “borne”

    נסה    נשׂא

    nâśâ'  nâsâh

    naw-saw', naw-saw'

A primitive root; to lift, in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively, absolutely and relatively: - accept, advance, arise, (able to, [armour], suffer to) bear (-er, up), bring (forth), burn, carry (away), cast, contain, desire, ease, exact, exalt (self), extol, fetch, forgive, furnish, further, give, go on, help, high, hold up, honourable (+ man), lade, lay, lift (self) up, lofty, marry, magnify, X needs, obtain, pardon, raise (up), receive, regard, respect, set (up), spare, stir up, + swear, take (away, up), X utterly, wear, yield.

    Exo 25:15  The stavesH905 shall beH1961 in the ringsH2885 of the ark:H727 they shall notH3808 be takenH5493 fromH4480 it.

    H2885 “rings”

    טבּעת

    ṭabba‛ath

    tab-bah'-ath

From H2883; properly a seal (as sunk into the wax), that is, signet (for sealing); hence (generically) a ring of any kind: - ring.

    Exo 25:16  And thou shalt putH5414 intoH413 the arkH727 (H853) the testimonyH5715 whichH834 I shall giveH5414 H413 thee.

    H5715 “testimony”

    עדוּת

    ‛êdûth

    ay-dooth'

Feminine of H5707; testimony: - testimony, witness.

    H5707

    עד

    ‛êd

    ayd

From H5749 contracted; concretely a witness; abstractly testimony; specifically a recorder, that is, prince: - witness.

    Exo 25:16  And thou shalt putH5414 intoH413 the arkH727 (H853) the testimonyH5715 whichH834 I shall giveH5414 H413 thee.

    Exo 25:17  And thou shalt makeH6213 a mercy seatH3727 of pureH2889 gold:H2091 two cubitsH520 and a halfH2677 shall be the lengthH753 thereof, and a cubitH520 and a halfH2677 the breadthH7341 thereof.

    H3727 “seat”

    כּפּרת

    kappôreth

    kap-po'-reth

From H3722; a lid (used only of the cover of the sacred Ark): - mercy seat.

    H3722

    כּפר

    kâphar

    kaw-far'

A primitive root; to cover (specifically with bitumen); figuratively to expiate or condone, to placate or cancel: - appease, make (an) atonement, cleanse, disannul, forgive, be merciful, pacify, pardon, to pitch, purge (away), put off, (make) reconcile (-liation).

Exo 25:34  And in the candlestickH4501 shall be fourH702 bowlsH1375 made like unto almonds,H8246 with their knopsH3730 and their flowers.H6525

    H8246 “almonds”

    שׁקד

    shâqad

    shaw-kad'

A denominative from H8247; to be (intensively make) almond shaped: - make like (unto, after the fashion of) almonds.

    H8247

    שׁקד

    shâqêd

    shaw-kade'

From H8245; the almond (tree or nut; as being the earliest in bloom): - almond (tree).

Again…see here a reference to the firstfruits…the 144k….doing a study on the Levites mixing with each tribe by the divine grace of YHWH as He commanded that each tribe allot cities within their lands for the Levites to live. So then by default and being human, SOME of the Levites mixed with each tribe. These are the firstfruits as they have the budding rod of Aaron…the almonds which budded on his rod which was also put in the Ark. So then, seeing where the almonds are also a symbol of firstfruits of priests.

Isa 66:21  And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.

Isa 66:21 appears to infer that out of those whom He will save and gather, that certain of them will be priests, perhaps even in place of Levites(?) Please read all the verses found in the 66th chapter in Isaiah in order to fully understand the meaning.

    Num 10:33  And they departedH5265 from the mountH4480 H2022 of the LORDH3068 threeH7969 days'H3117 journey:H1870 and the arkH727 of the covenantH1285 of the LORDH3068 wentH5265 beforeH6440 them in the threeH7969 days'H3117 journey,H1870 to search outH8446 a resting placeH4496 for them.

See here where the ark sets out AHEAD by three days from the rest if Israel

    Jos 3:6  And JoshuaH3091 spakeH559 untoH413 the priests,H3548 saying,H559 Take upH5375 (H853) the arkH727 of the covenant,H1285 and pass overH5674 beforeH6440 the people.H5971 And they took upH5375 (H853) the arkH727 of the covenant,H1285 and wentH1980 beforeH6440 the people.H5971

    Some other anomalies?

Num 1:44  These are those that were numbered, which Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: each one was for the house of his fathers.

Let’s look at the above verse, which by the way, just as Rev 14:4 contains the number “144”; so also does this verse from Numbers: 1:44.

Rev 14:4  These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

Both verses contain information about the numbers of the twelve tribes of Israel but in Numbers we find that it is Moses and Aaron who did the numbering.

Also, below is broken down Num 3:8 to show significance and also please note the Aleph Tav (H853) is written twice in this verse.

    Num 3:8  And they shall keepH8104 (H853) allH3605 the instrumentsH3627 of the tabernacleH168 of the congregation,H4150 and the chargeH4931 of the childrenH1121 of Israel,H3478 to doH5647 (H853) the serviceH5656 of the tabernacle.H4908

    H8104

    שׁמר

    shâmar

    shaw-mar'

A primitive root; properly to hedge about (as with thorns), that is, guard; generally to protect, attend to, etc.: - beware, be circumspect, take heed (to self), keep (-er, self), mark, look narrowly, observe, preserve, regard, reserve, save (self), sure, (that lay) wait (for), watch (-man).

To guard, protect, keep the WORD, the Torah. But also possibly to intercede on behalf of the rest of the children of Israel, who in part, have been blinded as Paul tells us.

The “instruments” as the children of Israel.

Note below, that within the definition for “instruments”, we find the word “vessel”. Are we not vessels?

    Num 3:8  And they shall keepH8104 (H853) allH3605 the instrumentsH3627 of the tabernacleH168 of the congregation,H4150 and the chargeH4931 of the childrenH1121 of Israel,H3478 to doH5647 (H853) the serviceH5656 of the tabernacle.H4908

    H3627

    כּלי

    kelı̂y

    kel-ee'

From H3615; something prepared, that is, any apparatus (as an implement, utensil, dress, vessel or weapon): - armour ([-bearer]), artillery, bag, carriage, + furnish, furniture, instrument, jewel, that is made of, X one from another, that which pertaineth, pot, + psaltery, sack, stuff, thing, tool, vessel, ware, weapon, + whatsoever.

Note below, that word “tabernacle “ appears twice in this verse yet each one bears a different definition.

    H168 "tabernacle"

    אהל

    'ôhel

    o'-hel

From H166; a tent (as clearly conspicuous from a distance): - covering, (dwelling) (place), home, tabernacle, tent.

    H4150 "congregation"

    מועדה    מעד    מועד

    mô‛êd  mô‛êd  mô‛âdâh

    mo-ade', mo-ade', mo-aw-daw'

From H3259; properly an appointment, that is, a fixed time or season; specifically a festival; conventionally a year; by implication, an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose); technically the congregation; by extension, the place of meeting; also a signal (as appointed beforehand): - appointed (sign, time), (place of, solemn) assembly, congregation, (set, solemn) feast, (appointed, due) season, solemn (-ity), synagogue, (set) time (appointed).

Looking at the words grouped together:

    tabernacleH168 of the congregation,H4150

The dwelling place/home of the fixed time or season.

The only place we call home which has seasons??? This earth we live on.

    H4931 "charge"

    משׁמרת

    mishmereth

    mish-meh'-reth

Feminine of H4929; watch, that is, the act (custody) or (concretely) the sentry, the post; objectively preservation, or (concretely) safe; figuratively observance, that is, (abstractly) duty, or (objectively) a usage or party: - charge, keep, to be kept, office, ordinance, safeguard, ward, watch.

The Levites then have a charge of custody to watch over and guard the vessels (children of Israel).

So then, if this theory is correct, those who keep the commandments and have the faith of EHYEHshua, have a duty to watch over, guard and keep the children who are still blind. We do this by offering up our prayers for them. As we should…they are brethren even if they are not yet in this walk. We must pray for them to have YHWH open their eyes and hearts.

    H5656 "service"

    עבודה    עבדה

    ‛ăbôdâh  ‛ăbôdâh

    ab-o-daw', ab-o-daw'

From H5647; work of any kind: - act, bondage, + bondservant, effect, labour, ministering (-try), office, service (-ile, -itude), tillage, use, work, X wrought.

    H4908 "tabernacle"

    משׁכּן

    mishkân

    mish-kawn'

From H7931; a residence (including a shepherd’s hut, the lair of animals, figuratively the grave; also the Temple); specifically the Tabernacle (properly its wooden walls): - dwelleth, dwelling (place), habitation, tabernacle, tent.

So then, this last part of the verse tells us we are bondservants in the dwelling place or habitation, which again, is this planet earth.

    Update:

    22 February, 2014

    Word Study on "Aleph"

Random studying showing another possible connection with the word "thousand" as depicted in the Revelation verses written of about the 12 tribes, or the 144k as they are known. Disputes as to what that number means. some say it is "symbolic" more so than a count, but if so, then how does one reconcile the dividing of the 144 thousand into 12 thousand for each tribe which is also written out?

    Some things to ponder:

"Aleph" being the FIRST letter of the Hebrew alephbet . Means chief, leader, ox; first strength.

    Strong's H441 (hmmm....144 backwards???)

H441 (dukes, guide, ox, oxen, friends, chief friends, captains, governor, governors)

    אלּף    אלּוּף

    'alûph  'allûph

    al-loof', al-loof'

From H502; familiar; a friend, also gentle; hence a bullock (as being tame; applied, although masculine, to a cow); and so a chieftain (as notable like neat cattle): - captain, duke, (chief) friend, governor, guide, ox.

    H502 (utter, teach, learn)

    אלף

    'âlaph

    aw-lof'

A primitive root, to associate with; hence to learn (and causatively to teach): - learn, teach, utter.

    H505 (thousands)

    אלף

    'eleph

    eh'-lef

Properly the same as H504; hence (an ox’s head being the first letter of the alphabet, and this eventually used as a numeral)(emphasis mine)  a thousand: - thousand.

    H504 (kine, family, oxen)

    אלף

    'eleph

    eh'-lef

From H502; a family; also (from the sense of yoking or taming) an ox or cow: - family, kine, oxen.

Consider the first rule of Hebrew, that in it's original form, no vowels were present. With that in mind, examine closely each of the above definitions and how the Hebrew words are spelled. Note in parentheses that these are the English words that have been placed in various verses where in the Hebrew we would find only ONE WORD and it is the SAME word.

Also noting that these definitions fall within a range from H502 to H505 and given their exactness in spelling we can also see there is much similarity in the meaning found within each single definition, that they are, in fact, related and that most likely would be, because they are indeed the EXACT SAME WORD which keeps the EXACT same meaning in the Hebrew.

If this word which means "chief, leader, oxen" has "evolved" to also mean the number "thousand", then it might be logical to look at the number we find in Revelation with regard to the 12 tribes and see something other than a head count.

It is not regarding the Jews exclusively as some mistakenly believe as being taught. While some Jews (those who really are of Judah) are included, these verses declare all 12 tribes. We already know that the entire nation of Israel was scattered to the four corners of the earth. We only have to look to the Scriptures to find the proof.

After all this examining, the conclusion one should most likely come to, is that they will be teachers of YHWH's truth. The Torah. But the "awakening of Israel must take place first.
